Running to Age Young: What Running Reveals About Our Longevity

Run to Age Young: What Running Reveals About Our Longevity What if the secret to well-being and longevity wasn't hidden in some magic formula, but simply in our pair of sneakers? At a time when positive aging is redefining the way we move through the years — not by trying to stay young at all costs, but by cultivating radiant vitality at every stage of life — running is emerging as the ultimate ally. Far from being just a modern trend, running is a return to our roots, an awakening of our inner strength. A truth written in our cells: "Running is in our genes" To understand why running does our bodies so much good, we need to dive into our collective history. In his captivating book, "Pourquoi courir ? 20 raisons de pratiquer la course à pied" (Why Run? 20 Reasons to Take Up Running), historian and researcher Jérôme Segal recalls a fundamental biological truth: human beings are programmed for endurance. I recommend reading this book… I loved it. Unlike cheetahs or lions, built for sprinting, humans survived and thrived thanks to their ability to run long distances in the heat, notably for persistence hunting. Our entire anatomy — from the shape of our feet to our sweating system, to the elasticity of our tendons — was shaped by and for running. By taking up running, you are not forcing your nature: you are awakening it. This is what Jérôme Segal brilliantly demonstrates: running is not a modern punishment, it is a reclaiming of our genetic heritage. Kathrine Switzer: Breaking myths and redefining longevity For a long time, however, "experts" tried to make people believe that long-distance running was dangerous, especially for women, claiming that it accelerated aging or damaged the body. History has swept these beliefs away, and the finest symbol of this revolution is Kathrine Switzer. In 1967, she became the first woman to officially run the legendary Boston Marathon with a race bib (number 261), at a time when the event was strictly reserved for men. The images of the race organizer trying to physically push her off the course have gone down in history. Katherine didn't just finish that marathon; she proved to the whole world that the female body was endowed with exceptional endurance and resilience. The link with positive aging? Fifty years later, in 2017, at the age of 70, Kathrine Switzer ran the Boston Marathon again, posting a spectacular time and breathtaking energy. She is living proof that running doesn't wear the body out, but keeps it vibrant, bold and strong in the face of the years. The benefits of the stride: Positive Aging at every age Running is a long-term investment. Whatever age you start at, it acts as a catalyst for energy and regeneration. At 25: Building your reserves and releasing stress Bone density: This is the ideal time to maximize your bone capital. The repeated (and controlled) impacts of running stimulate bone mineralization, creating a shield against future osteoporosis. Mental health: Amid the turmoil of starting your working life, running releases endorphins and dopamine, regulating stress and boosting mental clarity. At 35: Stimulating metabolism and protecting the heart Metabolic boost: As collagen production and basal metabolism begin to slow slightly, running helps maintain active muscle mass and optimal energy expenditure. Cardiovascular protection: The heart is a muscle. Running regularly keeps the arteries flexible and optimizes lung capacity, pushing back the first signs of systemic fatigue. At 45 and beyond: A resurgence of energy and brain plasticity Hormonal and cellular balance: As major hormonal changes approach, running helps regulate blood sugar levels, limits muscle loss (sarcopenia) and lubricates the joints. A youthful brain: Clinical studies show that aerobic exercise such as running stimulates neurogenesis (the creation of new neurons) in the hippocampus, the area of the brain linked to memory. Running protects your body, but it also keeps your mind sharp. Conclusion: Awaken the volcano within you Aging is inevitable, but choosing how we age is within our power. As the history of our evolution reminds us, our body holds a gold mine of energy just waiting to resurface. Running is not a quest for performance or eternal youth. It is a celebration of what your body is capable of doing today, and of the strength it will pass on to your body of tomorrow. So, whether things are going well or badly, lace up your sneakers. Let your genes speak, and bring your energy back to the surface! [hook name="displayPushProducts" args="{"ids":[42]}"]

Liposomal Encapsulation: Biomimetic engineering for your health capital

Liposomal technology: the shield that protects your nutrients In the pursuit of positive aging and cellular optimization, one physiological rule outweighs all others: the value of a nutrient is not measured by what you swallow, but by what your cells actually manage to absorb. Yet human physiology is a hostile environment for vitamins and fragile active ingredients. How can you ensure that a molecule gets through the obstacles of digestion without losing its potency? Nutritional engineering has a one-word answer: the liposome. Find out why liposomal technology is redefining the standards of supplementation, and how etnā uses it to maximize the effects of encapsulated nutrients. The physiological challenge: surviving the digestive system For an active ingredient (such as vitamin C) to reach your bloodstream, it has to go through a real obstacle course. As soon as it arrives in your stomach, it faces extremely acidic gastric juices, followed by the digestive enzymes of the intestine. Faced with this harsh treatment, a large proportion of conventional nutrients are oxidized, degraded or simply destroyed before they can even cross the intestinal barrier. This phenomenon, known as “digestive loss”, explains why many conventional supplements deliver disappointing results, even at very high doses. A way therefore had to be found to protect the nutrient and help it through these natural barriers. What is liposomal encapsulation? The technology of biomimicry Liposomal technology is a cutting-edge encapsulation method inspired by nature itself. This is what is known as biomimicry. A liposome is a micro-sphere (a bubble invisible to the naked eye) made from phospholipids. What is special about these phospholipids? They are exactly the same fats that make up the membranes of our own human cells. How does it actually work? Encapsulation: in our laboratory, we trap the active ingredient (the vitamin or active complex) at the heart of this lipid bubble. The shield: protected by this lipid armor, the nutrient passes through the acidity of the stomach completely intact. Cellular assimilation (fusion): this is where the science happens. Because the liposome is made of the same material as the walls of your intestinal cells, it is not perceived as a foreign body. The liposome literally “fuses” with the membrane of your cells, releasing the pure active ingredient directly inside the body. Your 3 health benefits Choosing an etnā liposomal formula means investing in effectiveness: High bioavailability: studies show that the absorption of liposomal active ingredients is higher than that of conventional forms, ensuring optimal blood concentration in record time (1, 2). Improved digestive tolerance: acidic vitamins (such as vitamin C) or minerals can sometimes irritate the stomach or speed up transit. Enclosed in its lipid cocoon, the active ingredient never comes into direct contact with the gastric lining. Digestive discomfort is reduced. Prolonged action: encapsulated active ingredients are released more gradually in the body, ensuring long-lasting tissue impregnation. etnā excellence applied to your areas of health At etnā, we don’t use liposomes simply because they are fashionable, but strategically: we use them where the fragility of the active ingredient or the need for lightning-fast absorption requires it. Here is how this technology comes to life in some of our ranges: 1. Immunity & oxidation: Vitamine C Lipo Premium Vitamin C is notoriously unstable and fragile. Our Vitamine C Lipo Premium formula uses encapsulation to protect this master antioxidant molecule. The result: high absorption supporting your energy and enhanced cellular protection, without the usual stomach acidity. 2. Bone & immune health: Vitamin D3K2 Lipo Premium Vitamins D3 and K2 are fat-soluble, which means they inherently need fat to be absorbed. By enclosing them in our liposomal matrix, we provide them with their own means of transport. Calcium is thus absorbed thanks to D3 and intelligently directed to your bones by K2. 3. The pinnacle of nutricosmetics: Collagen Glow For your skin, we have combined our marine collagen tripeptides with an exclusive complex of liposomal active ingredients (hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, keratin, biotin). Thanks to the liposome, hyaluronic acid — a molecule that is usually very difficult to absorb orally — reaches the skin tissues intact. In conclusion: a demanding method Cellular nutrition leaves no room for chance. With our liposomal technology, we give your body what it deserves: the undiminished power of science, supporting your positive aging. References & scientific bibliography Gopi, S., & Balakrishnan, P. Collagen: The Art of Assimilation—or why molecular weight is the key criterion for effective collagen.

Collagen bioavailability: why molecular weight changes everything While collagen has become a must-have for positive aging, one fundamental truth is often kept quiet in the nutricosmetics and sports industries: consuming collagen is pointless if your body cannot absorb it. In micronutrition, the quantity of an active ingredient matters far less than its bioavailability, that is, the proportion of that active ingredient that actually reaches your cells. How do nutrients cross your intestinal barrier? What is the Dalton scale? And why is molecular weight the decisive criterion for judging the quality of a supplement? etnā explains the science of absorption. The cellular journey: how does a nutrient enter our body? To understand how collagen is absorbed, picture our digestive system as a high-security fortress. The wall of this fortress is our intestinal barrier, lined with cells called enterocytes. Their role is to filter: they block unwanted elements (toxins, bacteria) and open their “doors” to nutrients so they can pass into the bloodstream. However, these doors are microscopic. If a molecule is too large, it will not get through. It will continue on its way through the digestive tract and simply be eliminated by the body. The scientific challenge is therefore to reduce the size of nutrients so that they can cross this barrier, enter the blood, and then reach their target cells (fibroblasts for the skin, chondrocytes for the joints, or muscle fibers). The Dalton scale: measuring the infinitely small To measure the size and weight of these microscopic molecules, scientists use a specific unit of mass: the Dalton (Da). Here is the scale to help you understand collagen: Native collagen (around 300,000 Daltons): in its natural state (in bone broth or animal tissue), the collagen protein looks like a thick, braided ship’s rope. It is massive. Its 300,000 Daltons make it impossible for the intestine to absorb as it is. Gelatin (around 50,000 Daltons): this is collagen partially broken down by cooking. It is better, but still far too heavy for targeted cellular absorption. Standard collagen peptides (between 2,000 and 5,000 Daltons): the industry uses a process called “hydrolysis” (cutting with enzymes) to break the protein down into small pieces. This is the market standard, offering good absorption. But at etnā, we felt this was not enough... The technological holy grail: LMW hydrolysis and tripeptides What is the best method of absorption? Science gives an unequivocal answer: collagen tripeptides. A tripeptide is an isolated sequence of just three amino acids (the building blocks of protein). Thanks to advanced Low Molecular Weight (LMW) enzymatic hydrolysis, we obtain fragments weighing less than 300 Daltons. Our experts’ analogy: imagine that native collagen is a huge boulder. Standard peptides (3,000 Da) are gravel. Our tripeptides (< 300 Da) are fine grains of sand. Which will pass through an hourglass the fastest and most completely? Weighing less than 300 Daltons, tripeptides no longer need any digestion. They are recognized by specific intestinal transporters (such as the PEPT1 transporter) and are absorbed directly and intact into the bloodstream in record time (1, 2). How etnā engineering applies this science to your needs Because each tissue has different structural needs, our products are formulated in our laboratory based on this absolute requirement for bioavailability and molecular weight: 1. Absolute absorption: Collagen Tripeptides Complex Pure innovation. This single-ingredient formula delivers 10 g of marine collagen whose molecular weight has been pushed below the record threshold of 300 Daltons. These micro-peptides travel directly to the receptive organs (skin, bones, muscles) to support your overall regeneration. 2. The height of nutricosmetics: Collagen Glow For In & Out beauty, we have created a unique synergy. We combine our tripeptides (< 300 Da) with liposomal technology. The active ingredients (hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, keratin) are encapsulated in biomimetic lipid micro-bubbles, greatly increasing their resistance to gastric juices and promoting skin hydration. 3. Cellular performance: Sport Collagen + Skeletal muscle under exertion requires precise metabolic targeting. That is why we use Peptendure® technology, bioactive peptides with a rigorously calibrated molecular weight designed to act as a direct signal to muscle mitochondria. 4. Structural preservation: Articulation (Mobility) For cartilage, peptides must be of a specific size to stimulate chondrocytes (the cells of our joints). Our formula delivers the exact molecular weight required to reactivate the joint machinery and help maintain your ease of movement. In conclusion: read the labels Collagen absorption is not a question of magic, it is a question of biology. When choosing your collagen program, don’t just look at the dosage. Look for the word “hydrolyzed”, ask about the size in “Daltons” and choose “tripeptides”. With etnā, you have the scientific guarantee that every gram consumed is a gram absorbed.
